Nestled in green countryside at the foot of the majestic Quantock Hills and close to the county town of Taunton, Mill Meadow is the perfect rural retreat to escape, relax and refresh. A private and gated community with spacious, light filled lodges, individual hot tubs and a private lake, it is the premier destination for anyone seeking a luxurious lodge holiday experience.
We are a small family run business and a warm welcome and personal touch awaits you on your arrival.
Above all we want you to get the most from your stay and enjoy all that this beautiful place in which we live has to offer so that you can make your own #MillMeadowMemories.
If you share your life with a dog, then we know that they’re part of your family and when you head off on your family holidays, we understand that leaving your best friend and companion at home, in a dog hotel or kennels may not rest well with everyone.
Thats why we welcome dogs, and well behaved humans, to Mill Meadow plus there are real benefits to taking your dog on holiday with you:
Enjoy your special time together.

Resident Catalan Sheep Dog
The majority of our lodges & cottages welcome dogs but out of consideration for those with allergies or aversions Heron and Buntings are pet free.
Mill Meadow is largely open plan without fenced off gardens so we do ask that dogs are kept under full control whilst onsite and for most that means on a lead.
Please also keep in mind that your dog may well be disorientated for the first few days and the last thing anyone would want is to lose a loved pet who takes off in pursuit of something furry and then can’t find their way back.
Mia says its better to follow the walk cards in your accommodation or visit one of the wide open spaces nearby where your dog can run and run and run!
For the comfort and safety of everyone Mia asks please:
Your lodge has a welcome pack for your dog including a dog towel, water bowl, poo bags and a little treat.
If you need anything else for your dog please let us know and if we don’t have it we can point you in the right direct.
There is a selection of providers who will look after your dog if the need arises, here are a few that guests have used:

You can add up to 2 dogs per booking and if you have more than 2 dogs don’t panic as you just have to contact us so that we can gather some additional information before confirming your request with the accommodation owner.
Online bookings have a fee of £35 per dog per booking, a flat fee not a per night rate., to contribute to the additional housekeeping when you leave us.
Compared with boarding rates, which can be between £15 -£25 per day, we think this is fair.
