A private and gated community of self catering accommodation in Somerset, log cabins and traditional cottages with individual hot tubs and a lake with private fishing.
Our guests consider Mill Meadow a premier destination for hot tub holiday accommodation in Somerset.
Located in countryside on the edge of the village of Kingston St Mary at the foot of the tranquil and unspoilt Quantock Hills, yet close to the county town of Taunton, Mill Meadow is the perfect rural retreat to escape, relax and refresh or as a base from which to enjoy a wealth of activities and places of interest across Somerset & Devon.
A warm welcome and personal service awaits to help you to get the most from your walking and rambling break in Somerset and enjoy all that this beautiful part of the West Country has to offer.

Our friend Linda is passionate about her walking and relishes the chance to share the many stunning local walks available from your Mill Meadow holiday lodge.
Linda can guide you through our beautiful Somerset Countryside, in particular the nearby Quantock Hills and Somerset Coast, fitting in “suitable” refreshment stops along the way!
Linda can also be on hand to exchange ideas with walkers who want to go it alone to help you get the best possible experience of your Somerset walking holiday.
“The Quantock Hills cover an area of 50 square miles and was the first area in England to be designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1957. They may not be as wild or as untamed as neighbouring Exmoor or Dartmoor but they have a gentle beauty all of their own.
No traffic noise but the occasional sound of the steam train wending its way from Bishops
Lydeard to Minehead. There is always the hope you may see a herd of deer or wild ponies and where else can you stand on the ridge and see the coast on one side and open countryside to the other?
If you wish to explore the area but are unsure of planning a route yourself or are visiting the area and would like to get to experience this amazing area I am happy to offer guided walks of either approximately 2 hour or 4 hour duration. I believe that walks should not be about getting to the end point as quickly as possible but allowing time to enjoy being in nature and taking in the sights and sounds around us. To lose oneself in nature is deeply beneficial as demonstrated by more and more evidence based research.
I have been a keen walker for many years and have had the opportunity to trek in the Himalaya both from India and Nepal. I am currently halfway around the South West Coast Path and every year I return to Dartmoor for the 11 Tors fundraiser for Dartmoor Search and Rescue..

Sometimes overlooked as a form of exercise, walking briskly can help you build stamina, burn excess calories and make your heart healthier.
