Covid-19 Important Information

Dear Guests and friends,

With so much concern, uncertainty and conflicting information regarding Covid-19, we wanted to reach out to offer our guests some helpful information.

There are currently two confirmed cases of Covid-19 across the whole of Somerset, but we are vigilantly monitoring the situation and have not waited to put procedures in place to to protect our guests, staff and the local community.

We are following and implementing advice and guidelines provided by the World Health Organisation (WHO), UK Government, Public Health England, National Health Service (NHS) and Health and Safety Executive (HSE). Our primary concern remains the safety and welfare of our guests, team and community. We are monitoring the situation closely and remain ready to adapt without delay.

We have reinforced our already robust working practices here at Mill Meadow. Our house keeping staff are washing their hands even more frequently than normal and we are even more thoroughly cleaning the lodges between guests, with a particular increased focus on contact surfaces.

As self contained individual accommodation it has been suggested our lodges could provide less risk of contamination than the more traditional traveller accommodation or other more public places.

Although we like to personally welcome all our guests we can also offer guests a FaceTime or video call phone welcome to further reduce contact outside of their immediate group.

With regards to our hot tubs we have contacted our local testing laboratory and have been advised to continue with our usual stringent sanitation and maintenance regime.

There is no doubt that Covid-19 presents us all with challenges to normal life but here at Mill Meadow we are trying to carry on with a “business as usual” approach where we can but subject to taking all required precautions.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me personally at chris@millmeadow.co.uk

Thank you for your understanding and continued support and we all wish you and your loved ones good health at this challenging time.
