Great Cycling from Mill Meadow

We have cycling for all from your Mill Meadow lodge with access to a range of routes and experiences from the relaxing to the exhilarating.

Cycle storage and wash down available plus what better way to end the day than to soak in your own private hot tub or unwind in a sauna if you choose Woodpecker or Flycatcher.

So leave your car at home and get out and about in our beautiful local landscape.

Road Cycling

Did you know that the Taunton Cycle Trail passes right past our door.

The Taunton Cycle Trail follows a 40 mile circular route through Somerset villages. There are 5 radial routes starting from the centre of Taunton which allow 5 smaller loops to be ridden.

The main route runs along Parsonage Lane at the entrance to Mill Meadow so you can explore all it has to offer with ease.

Mountain Biking

The Quantocks also offer some of the best Mountain Biking in the UK with the routes around nearby Triscombe popular with thousands.

Canal Route

If you want to get away from it all then join the canal towpath route along the Taunton and Bridgwater Canal, it is a gently ride through beautiful countryside with the Boat and Anchor pub waiting at the end and tea and cake at Maunsel Lock Tea Rooms en route (both ways if you think you have earned it!).

Train to the Coast

Take a steam train on the West Somerset Railway to the coast at Minehead and explore Dunster, Blue Anchor Bay and even on to Pollock, the brave can try Porlock Hill!
