Surrounded by nature and thoughtfully designed for relaxation, Flycatcher Lodge is a spacious, open plan retreat ideal for families or group getaways. Floor-to-ceiling windows fill the space with natural light, while stylish interiors and features like an infrared sauna, private hot tub, and outdoor dining area create a setting of comfort and calm from the moment you arrive. Sleeping up to 8 guests (including a double sofa bed), Flycatcher is both dog-friendly (surcharge applies) and wheelchair accessible, making it an inclusive space for everyone to relax and unwind.

Ground Floor

• Open-plan living & dining area with plenty of comfortable seating
• Double sofa bed (sleeps 2 — part of the 8-person occupancy)
• Freesat TV with Chromecast, local guide books and a small selection of board games
• Dining area with seating for 8
• Fully-equipped kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, dishwasher & large fridge freezer
• King-size bedroom with en-suite. This bedroom and bathroom meets some accessibility needs but please check f you require specialist equipment beforehand

First Floor (Mezzanine Level)

• Open mezzanine overlooking the living area with an infrared sauna
• King-size bedroom with Jack & Jill en-suite (also accessible from mezzanine)
• Twin bedroom with two single beds and en-suite wet room

Outdoor Features

• Bi-fold doors open onto a private deck with outdoor dining furniture and relaxing chairs
• Private hot tub (available on request)
• BBQ with a starter pack of charcoal and firelighters
• Utility room with washing machine, ceiling dryer and storage for outside gear and bikes

Dog-Friendly & Accessible

We welcome up to two dogs per stay for a one-off cleaning fee of £35. Flycatcher Lodge is also wheelchair accessible, and we’re happy to discuss any specific needs with you ahead of time to make your stay as smooth as possible.

• By Car: Easily located via Google or Apple Maps by searching “Mill Meadow Eco Holiday Homes”.
• By Train: 10-minute drive from Taunton station (direct trains from London Paddington in 1hr 40mins).
• By Bus: National Express and Berrys Coaches who serve Taunton regularly.
• By Plane: Under 1 hour from Bristol & Exeter Airports. London Heathrow -3 hours (transfers can be arranged).

We can also help arrange pickups from bus/train stations or airports. Just let us know when booking.

On-Site Support

You’ll have a dedicated Housekeeper during your stay, plus access to our Property Manager between 7:30am–9:00pm. We’ll share all contact info in your booking confirmation — we’re always here if you need anything.

• Bus: The Mill Cross stop (at Parsonage Lane & Kingston Rd) connects you to Taunton
• Private Transfers: Can be booked through some local taxi operators or private hire.

House Rules

• No smoking indoors or in shared areas
• Read and follow the hot tub safety guide
• Leave the lodge tidy (departure day checklist provided)
• Clean up after pets using provided waste facilities
• Standard check-out is 10am (unless otherwise agreed with your Housekeeper)
