There are a wide variety of ride options available from the door of your Mill Meadow accommodation so you can spend as long as you like exploring the beautiful countryside around us and return to enjoy your lodge with private hot tub at the end of a great day’s cycling.
Road Cycling:
As you leave the main gate you find yourself on the Taunton Cycle Trail a 39 mile (62km) circular route through Somerset villages.
There are 5 radial routes starting from the centre of Taunton, about 3 miles away, which allow 5 smaller loops to be ridden.

Off Road Cycling:
The Quantock Hills are renowned as one of the best mountain biking areas in the UK and often with an extended season even in wet weather.
With Exmoor and the Blackdown Hills also nearby, Mill Meadow is the perfect place to explore an MTB Paradise in the South West.

At Mill Meadow we have a “very fast” connection that is available free to all guests.
Each property has either an outside lockable store (bring your own padlock) or space within the utility area to store bikes.
We know that cyclists prefer not to pressure wash their valuable bikes so there is a mains pressure rainwater tap on most lodges so not only can you keep your bike clean but also in the greenest way possible with rainwater.
Hopefully you will experience some of the great weather we have but if you do get some “liquid sunshine” then each lodge has a drying rack, normally in the utility room where there is one.
Most of the lodges also have tumble driers.
There are a number of shops in Taunton and we also have Robin Evans, our local cycle mechanic, here in the village who is often available to lend a hand when needed:
