Holidays are great except for the crowds, queues, traffic, noise, stress and of course overbooked restaurants.

For those with no other option it has to be done but for the rest, myself included, with no school run and no other term time commitments why do we do it when there is another way.

Off season midweek break are by far the best option for many reasons but here are a few.

• Shorter or even no queues
• Less traffic on the road for the journey and getting around whilst you are away
• Less or no crowds, why share a beach or riverside walk with hundreds when you don’t have to
• Attractions are far less busy and often have midweek offers
• Better photo opportunities, no photo shopping out background “extras”
• Public transport is less crowded and can be less expensive
• You get a better local life experience and can blend into the more relaxed local community far easier, plus the locals will have more time to chat and they love to chat.

Plus accommodation providers are less busy and often have great offers available to tempt you in.

Can’t get 4 days off work then take advantage of our excellent wifi and build in a bit of work cation while you are with us but on your terms and after work close your laptop, switch off your work phone and get back to your holiday.

Makes sense doesn’t it and do the sums, what you spend on travelling to work each day you could be spending on exploring and experiencing the beautiful relaxing countryside plus you can turn off your heating at home and that’s another saving.
