Explore More with an all terrain Tramper scooter

As part of our commitment to making your enjoyment of Mill Meadow as accessible as possible we’ve partnered with the award winning Countryside Mobility service to promote their all terrain Tramper scooter for guests

Access the Beauty on Your Doorstep…in every season.

The Tramper is easy and safe to use and enables you to get the most out of some beautiful settings nearby.

Take out a Taster membership of Countryside Mobility (£5) and you’ll be able to make use of Trampers at their other 60 partner locations – 2 of which are within 10 minutes drive of Mill Meadow.

Hestercombe Gardens offers 50 acres of gardens covering four centuries of garden design while National Trust Fyne Court offers peaceful woodland walks on the edge of the Quantock Hills.

Normal admission/ parking fees apply and Hestercombe charge a Tramper hire fee of £2.50/ hour.

Further afield, Wimbleball Lake gives a taste of Exmoor, National Trust Brean Down offers spectacular views across the  Bristol Channel and Killerton House & Gardens, just north of Exeter, is one of the most popular National Trust
properties in the South West.

Practicalities

To ensure your safety and enjoyment, we’ll provide an introduction to the Tramper and give you information on where the Tramper can go. In the process you’ll become a member of Countryside Mobility (unless you are
already).

There are 3 membership choices to suit your needs, click here for more:

 Annual – £15

 Taster (2 weeks) – £5

 Single Use – £3

  • You’ll need to have read through and sign the Tramper Medical Declaration, click here to read through in advance.
  • You need to be at 14 years old but no previous experience of using a mobility scooter is needed. It is really quick and easy to pick up. Click here to watch a video to get a better idea of what a Tramper is like to use.
  • Your membership then acts like a driving license making all future hires quick and easy.

You can even use your membership in the North of England thanks to a reciprocal arrangement Countryside Mobility has with its sister charity initiative, Outdoor Mobility.
