World Bee Day 20th May 2019

They say we can all do our part to help the essential pollinators, plant flowers, leave an area of your garden to go wild, stop using pesticides and herbicides, build mini beast hotels, have a window box and many more ideas.

The threat to the pollinators is a global issue but we can all do our bit no matter how small, everything helps.

At Mill Meadow we are fortunate to have room to now set aside a large area of previously mown grass to form a wildflower meadow and have planted local apple trees with staggered flowering times all to help the pollinators.

This month we will be planting over 250 wildflower plants in the new meadow and hopefully will see the benefit this summer.
